HAPPY EASTER!

Happy Easter Everyone! I just got home from my Mom's where we had a wonderful lunch - ham, green bean casserole, and my personal favorite, Swedish Mashed Potatoes, just to name a few. It is always good to spend time with family, especially this year as my parents just got home from a 2-week trip to Africa where they went on safari. They had lots of neat pictures and stories to share! It almost made me want to go to Africa (except for the flight across the ocean part!) They were soooo close to some of the animals, it was truly amazing! In any event, they had lots of fun and it was a trip I am sure they won't soon forget. After watching their slides, we turned on the NCAA basketball tourney where Kelly and I are bringing up the rear in our family pool! That's ok - when UNC whens out we will go from the back to the top and finish 1-2! (Hopefully, I will be #1)! Duke is out, so that is really all I have left to root for.

Well, it's back to work tomorrow - ugh! This was a quick weekend. Signing off for now - take care and peace out!

Monday, Monday

Well, it's Monday and I'm home from work. Long story short, I had a bout of insomnia last night and got practically no sleep. I tried laying on the couch, watching TV, and reading but nothing worked. Tonight I'm taking some Tylenol PM or Benedryl to make sure I get some Z's. I thought about going into work late, but just decided to stay home and rest. I think Deb was a bit jealous!

In case you didn't notice, I changed the photo of Deb and I on the home page. I hated that picture! I all ready know I'm fat and I didn't care for how that picture showed my shirt stuck in between my fat rolls! The new pic is of us standing in front of The Bellagio fountains in Las Vegas. It's not centered and my head looks huge, but I still like it better than the other one. One of these days we'll decide on one we both like! The snow outside is starting to melt and get dirty. I hate that. This is Ohio, so we may be in for more snow before it's all over with.

I've posted a couple new pictures: one of Benjamin and Stella and then one of Stella by herself. As you can see, she is a true Yankees fan! Opening Day is March 31st and I can't wait! GO YANKEES!

Snowed In!!

Well. the blizzard of 2008 has hit and we are snowed in! I don't know how much snow has fallen, but there doesn't seem to be an end in sight. We have shoveled the driveway twice and it needs it again. The poor dogs can barely get through the yard. We have spent the day playing Scrabble and Dominos, napping, and playing Poppit on the computer (when we aren't shoveling). Poor Kelly is bored out of her mind! Duke and North Carolina play later, so that is something to look forward to on television.

My parents' flight was cancelled (they were leaving for Africa today). They are spending the night in Columbus and going to try again tomorrow. I hope they make it as they are scheduled for a lot of really cool stuff when they get there.

Here is a video of the snowfall. As you can see, it is quite deep! Sorry about Bailey stopping to pee in the middle - I wasn't expecting that as I was filming!! Take care and stay warm!

Lazy Saturday!

We didn't have too much to do this weekend and since we worked so hard cleaning the basement last week, we decided to just rest this weekend. Kel and the dogs took the opportunity to take a little nap! Check them out!
When they woke up, Kel & I got ready and went to Columbus to meet her sister at Cap City Diner for dinner. Following dinner, we went to see "Vantage Point". If you haven't seen this movie, I would recommend it. It is very intense and contains one of the most exciting car chase scenes I have ever seen! It had us on the edges of our seats!
