Well, I'm embarrassed to admit it, but it's been over a year since our last blog entry. I guess we got caught up in the craze of FceBook and just blew off the blog scene. Not the best excuse but the truth! The last few months have been rather tough on my family. My sister Cathy, passed away very unexpectedly on March 16th. She was only 36 years old and suffered a fatal brain hemorrhage on March 10th. Just the day before, we had to put our golden retriever Bailey to sleep. He was 13 years old and it was really hard. Losing him and then my sister so close together was a shock and very hard. As always Deb was my biggest support through it all. She and her family have had their own troubles as well. Her brother Chris got into a bit of trouble which resulted in him and his wife divorcing and us taking their dog Todd since neither could keep him where they are now living. My sister had 2 dogs and a cat as well. My Mom has her dogs and Deb and I now have her cat Lucy. So, to make sure everyone is clear, we now have 2 dogs, Baxter and Todd and three, yes three, cats: Benjamin, Stella and Lucy. Our house is small but full of love when it comes to animals.
Deb and I went to Sanibel, FL for a few days of relaxation after Cathy passed and it was nice. We just went to the Glee concert in Indianapolis as well. We're planning at trip to Myrtle Beach with my Mom in September and while we're there, we're going to spread some of Cathy's ashes. Myrtle Beach was my sister's favorite place in the world to go so we thought it'd be nice for her to be there permanently. Can't guarantee we'll blog regularly but I'll try to do better. Take care!

Deb's Birthday, Valentine's Day, & Florida
Since the last post, I have celebrated my 38th birthday - we enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the Spaghetti Warehouse with Jin & John and Denise & Bob. I was lucky enough to have a birthday hat made for me by the balloon guy.
Then, came Valentine's Day - we had a great time at Debbie's annual Valentine's Day party where we one this cute pillow. The dogs stole it from us and as you can see, they LOVE it!!
After we received nearly 3 feet of snow, we decided we needed to head for warmer, sunnier weather - so we booked a trip to Florida with our friend, Jinnie. She was kind enough to let us stay with her in her condo at Melbourne Beach again. Although the weather wasn't quite as warm as we would have liked, we did get to spend a few days laying in the sun and we got to go back to Disney and this time, Sea World. We had a really great time! You can view photos of our Florida trip on my Facebook page.
Now, we are getting ready to start March Madness - rooting for the Duke Blue Devils and OSU Buckeyes all they way, although if I want to win the money in the bracket challenge, I think I will go with Kentucky or Syracuse!! :)
Until next time!!

Lazy Winter Weekend
Hello! I know, I know. It's been forever since we've posted anything. Last post was in September as a matter of fact. Let's see, since then Deb and I have been to Florida (pics were posted on facebook), the Yankees won the World Series, sadly Deb's grandma Marge passed away in November, the holidays came and went and winter has certainly arrived! We're going to Melbourne, Florida again on March 1st and this time our friend Jinnie is coming along. We're staying in the same condo as before as Jinnie and her husband co-own it with her brother and sister in law. Needless to say, we're very eager to get away from all this snow for a little while! Don't get me wrong, I'm a snow-lover but even I need a break!
We're taking it easy this weekend. Planning to stay home today and watch some Olympics and college basketball (GO DUKE! GO BUCKEYES!) I'm sure we'll catch up on laundry and hit the grocery as well. Pets are all doing well and Bailey LOVES the snow. When its deep its hard on his old hips but he still loves to roll around and make snow angels! Baxter not so much! He goes out and comes right back inside! I'm sure we'll have more pictures from our vacation and we'll try to post a little more regularly! Take care!

It's been a while...
I couldn't believe it when I saw we hadn't posted since July! I guess time really does fly sometimes! Our last post was about our vacation to Vegas and I guess not much has really happened since then. There was my Mom's birthday (August 18Th) and a family get together at our house with my Mom's side of the family. It was a great time; happy and bitter sweet as it was the first time we'd all been together since my Aunt Jo died in December. Needless to say, there were laughs and a few tears. Deb's been gone since Friday as Labor Day weekend means the annual McInturf Family Camping Trip at Mohican. I went last year but passed this time as my allergies were HORRIBLE from being outside the whole time. The dogs and I just hung around the house and relaxed. I attended our fantasy football draft last night and after 4 hours of picking and strategy's, I think we came up with a pretty decent team. Team Gridiron Girls is ready to go! I've posted a few photos from the months gone by. We've got another vacation planned in October as we're heading to Melbourne Beach, Florida. I friend of mine has a condo there and she's letting us use it for free! It was an offer too good to pass up! I'm sure we'll make a stop at Disney World and will have some new things to post about when we get home. Take care!

Vegas Vacation!!
Well, we're finally home from our vacation in sunny and HOT Las Vegas. And when I say hot, I mean hot! The temps never dropped below 100 degrees the entire time we were there! Deb was the big winner out of the group ( eight of us all together: Deb's parents, brother Chris and his wife Amy and brother Tim and his girlfriend Molly) as she won $1,200 on the slots! I was playing a machine next to her when she hit and she literally turned ghost white as those credits kept going up and up! My luck, on the other hand, wasn't as good. Overall, I think I lost about $650 which was not my plan at all! Oh well! I took the money to play with and that's what I did! In the end it was nice to be away from work for a week. I've posted a few pics but I think Deb's posted most of them on her facebook page so you may want to check them out on that site. Me, Deb and her parents did see the off Broadway show "Jersey Boys" at The Palooza Theater and it was a great. It's about Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. It was very entertaining and the music was fun to sing along with. Next year I think we'll vacation on a beach somewhere so I won't lose so much money and it'll be a bit more relaxing! Take care! Kelly:)
Deb and I during the tour of Hoover Dam. Don't you love our hair! It was 105 degrees that day and we were standing 725 feet in the air. Needless to say, our hair couldn't stand up to the heat! :)
Paris Casino at night time.
Outside shot of The Flamingo from the bridge that crosses Las Vegas Blvd.
This is the inside of the Palooza Theater. They had strands of lights coming down that gave the illusion of raindrops falling. It was awesome!
We stayed the The Flamingo, one of the oldest hotels and casino's in Vegas.

Kel's Birthday
Well, today capped off the final celebration of Kelly's birthday week. We had lunch at Buca di Beppo in Columbus with her Dad, his wife, her daughter & family, along with Kelly's sisters, Cathy & Sarah. As always, the food was delicious & we had a lot of fun.
Kel's birthday was last Monday and that evening we went to her Mom's house for tacos, which also, were yummy and desert was provided by me - a semi-homemade, lemon cake which, if I do say so myself, was terrific!
Kel got a new bicycle and so that she doesn't have to ride alone, I got myself one too! I am sure that a wreck and/or a trip to the ER is probably not far behind, but hopefully not! She also got 2 c/ds (one being the Essential Michael Jackson collection) and 2 Star Wars lunchboxes and a Derek Jeter bag.
Photos of all her gifts, the cake, and the family are below. Enjoy!
Next update will be from our Vegas trip - we are one week away!! Can't wait. Until then....

Sleep Apnea Test...
Look! It's the bride of Frankenstein! Not actually, but scary I know! I was fortunate enough to undergo a sleep apnea test on Monday night. I dragged Deb along so she could snap a few photos of me after I was hooked up and ready to go. I arrived promptly at 7:45 pm and of course had a small delay at the registration desk. Once that was settled; off to the sleep clinic we went. After some paperwork and a short video; they started wiring me up. The whole process took about an hour an a half! Poor Deb! She was tired and I'm sure a little bored but she stuck it out! Now, the pics ARE NOT FLATTERING and I'm probably crazy for posting them, but oh well! It is what it is! It wasn't easy sleeping in this stuff but I did from 11:00 p.m. til 5:30 a.m. The tech said I do have some apnea but it wasn't severe enough to apply a C-PAP machine to me during the night. I follow-up with the doc in a week or so to get the final verdict. My favorite part of whole get-up was the straps they placed directly above and below my boobs. As you can see; it did not create an attractive look! Well, until next time; I'll keep snoring away!
